Initiated by the First Lady of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation is committed to the well-being of the Congolese people. It targets the most vulnerable in particular. It focuses on four main areas: education, health, the fight against gender-based violence and the empowerment of women. These areas of intervention promote the value and freedom of women, considered essential to progress and innovation. The foundation stresses the importance of hard work, ethics, patience and perseverance in its efforts to strengthen society.
Health and socio-economic impact
The actions of the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation positively influence the health and socio-economic impact in the Congo through improved access to healthcare and targeted education programs. By providing medical care and raising community awareness of health practices, the foundation reduces disease and mortality rates.
It underlines the imperative of investing in health to anchor these advances. By promoting empowerment and education, it raises living standards, having a lasting impact on the socio-economic sector. These initiatives strengthen communities, underscoring the urgent need for greater financial commitment to health in order to build an equitable and resilient society.
The Foundation's commitments
The Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation commits Congolese society to equality, valuing every woman and young person. It develops educational programs, improves access to drinking water and launches economic initiatives to empower women. By combating prejudice, she aims for an egalitarian society where everyone’s potential is recognized, promoting lasting change for the fulfillment of all.
Flagship Projects and Sickle Cell Medicine Center
The Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation, under the aegis of the First Lady of the DRC, has initiated several projects to improve health and socio-economic conditions in the country.
At the heart of these actions, the latest project is the opening of the SS-MABANGA Mixed Medicine and Anemia Center (CMMASS).
It focuses on the fight against sickle cell disease. Inaugurated after twelve months of intensive efforts, this specialized center aims to reduce mortality and improve the lives of those affected and their families.
This initiative reflects the Foundation’s global approach to combating public health challenges and promoting social equity, symbolizing its commitment to a better future for the Congolese people.
